We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired and infallible Word of God. Holy Scripture is the supreme authority for believers and the church in every aspect of their lives.
We believe in one, eternally existent God in Three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death though His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension where He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and His coming back in power and glory.
We believe that as a result of the Fall, people remain spiritually dead, morally depraved, and separated from God without the ability of being justified apart from Jesus Christ. Everyone has sinned and is guilty before God.
We believe that renewal of the Holy Spirit is necessary for the salvation of lost and sinful human beings. Salvation is totally dependent upon God’s active gift of grace manifest in turning away from sin, repentance, and faith in Christ and His work on the cross. It is through what He did and not what we do that we receive the forgiveness of our sins and are adopted into the family of God.
We believe in the active ministry of the Holy Spirit who dwells in believers and enables them to lead a godly life.
We believe in one Church, which includes all true believers, and in a visible picture of that Church through local communities. Local churches are called to preach the Gospel, teach the Word of God, officiate sacraments (baptism and communion), act with spiritual authority, and lead the people of God to their destiny.
We believe in the personal return of Christ, physical and visible, to judge the living and dead, receive His church, and fulfill God's plan in the history of mankind.
We believe in the Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; saved unto the resurrection of life, and lost unto damnation.
We are a part of centuries-long tradition. Our faith is rooted in historic Christianity, but we are still looking for new ways of experiencing and expressing ancient truths. Christian doctrine is defined by ancient church Creed.
We are a biblical community. The Gospel is a history about how God created us, how we fell, and then how God redeemed and renews us by bringing us into a right relationship with Himself through the work of Jesus Christ. The Gospel changes everything - what we believe, how we live, how we respond to God, our neighbor, and all the earth. The Gospel is the foundation of everything we do as a church.
We are a fellowship of the Covenant. Through Jesus, God established the covenant of love with us. We accept God's authority over creation, the church, and our lives. God shows His royal power in the way He saves us. The principles of reformation remind us that people are saved based on unconditional love and grace and not upon their deeds.
We are a spiritual community. We believe that God's Spirit fills us for our whole lives with power to be witnesses and gives us gifts in order to serve others. In the Christian life, it's all about God living among and through His people and He does that through His Spirit.
We are a missionary church. God is the God of mission - He sent Jesus to save us - now He sends us to the world in order to share the truth and love of Christ with a lost world filled with pain and suffering. God called us to be a fellowship of believers who live as missionaries.
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Catholic (Common) Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages,
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, he suffered and was buried. The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will never end. And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life. He proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified. He spoke through the prophets. We believe in one holy common (catholic) and apostolic church. We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and to life in the world to come. Amen.
We, then, following the holy Fathers, all with one consent, teach men to confess one and the same Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, the same perfect in Godhead and also perfect in manhood; truly God and truly man, of a reasonable soul and body; consubstantial with us according to the manhood; in all things like unto us, without sin; begotten before all ages of the Father according to the Godhead, and in these latter days, for us and for our salvation, born of the virgin Mary, the mother of God, according to the manhood; one and the same Christ, Son, Lord, Only-begotten, to be acknowledged in two natures, inconfusedly, unchangeably, indivisibly, inseparably; the distinction of natures being by no means taken away by the union, but rather the property of each nature being preserved, and concurring in one Person and one Subsistence, not parted or divided into two persons, but one and the same Son, and only begotten, God the Word, the Lord Jesus Christ, as the prophets from the beginning have declared concerning him, and the Lord Jesus Christ himself taught us, and the Creed of the holy Fathers has handed down to us.
Justification is only by grace through faith. This biblical principle stressed during the reformation says that God sees a sinner as justified and righteous in His eyes only by faith. Justification is God's declaration of forgiveness and acceptance through the righteousness of Jesus Christ attributed to those who believe. (Romans 3:22-24, 28 4:5, Galatians 3:6, 24)
Grace is God's love and favour. Sola Gratia is a biblical doctrine, which says that God pours out His love and favour on sinners based on the redemption accomplished by the death and resurrection of Jesus and His granted righteousness. A sinful man does not deserve God's love and grace. It is God who decides to give what man has not deserved. It is God's grace that saves us through faith (Ephesians 2:8) and justifies us by the act of redemption we have in Christ (Romans 3:24). Grace is the context in which we can believe the promise of the Gospel and thus we can be justified. (2 Timothy 1:9)
The biblical doctrine teaches that Holy Scripture is the only authority and doctrine of, faith, and life. The Bible on its own is capable of binding our conscience completely[MW1] . In Christian churches and in the life of the believer, the Bible is the only and sole foundation of what we believe and how we live. The Word of God defines and institutes the Church; the Church does not decide how to define the Word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16)
This office of mediator between God and man is proper only to Christ, who is the prophet, priest, and king of the church of God; and may not be either in whole, or any part thereof, transferred from him to any other. – London Baptist Confession
Christ alone (Solus Christus, Solo Christo) emphasizes that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is not only necessary for salvation, but also sufficient to save to the uttermost and that no amount of human works or merit can contribute to Christ’s finished priestly work. Christ’s all-sufficiency means, by implication, that we are insufficient of ourselves. Indeed the Scripture says not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God. (2 Corinthians 3:5, Ephesians 2:8-10, 1 Timothy 2:5)
Renewed during the reformation, this biblical doctrine teaches that all true believers are God's priests and have direct access to God's presence though the blood of Jesus. In the Old Testament, only the priests as the representatives of the people could enter God's presence. In the New Testament, there is no earthly mediator who meets God on our behalf or through whom we may have access to God's presence. Jesus Christ is our mediator, our High Priest, and through His shed blood we can enter God's presence with confidence and faith. It is by the blood of Jesus that we are able to meet God, rejoice in His presence, be filled with His Spirit, and receive understanding of His Word. (Hebrews 4:14-16, 10:19-22)
