What we believe

We are a church centered around the Gospel

The Gospel is the story of how God created us and how we turned away from Him; how God redeemed us and how He renews us to a relationship with Himself through the work of Jesus Christ. We believe that the Gospel changes everything about a person: how we live, how we relate to God, to our neighbors, and to the whole earth. The Gospel is the foundation of everything we do as a church.

In the following 9 points you will find our understanding of the most essential truths contained in Christianity:

Holy Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. Scripture is the final and unquestionable authority for believers and the Church in every area it addresses.

Sin

We believe that as a result of man's fall into sin, all are spiritually dead, morally depraved, and separated from God without the possibility of justification before God apart from Jesus Christ. All have sinned and are guilty before God.

Church

We believe in one universal Church embracing all true believers and in the visible image of that Church through local congregations. Local churches are charged with preaching the gospel, teaching God's word, administering the sacraments (baptism and communion), exercising spiritual authority, and leading God's people to their destiny.

God

We believe in one, eternal God in Three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Salvation

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man it is necessary to be renewed by the Holy Spirit. Salvation is entirely dependent on the work of God's gift of grace, which is manifested through turning away from sin (repentance and faith in Christ and His work on the cross. Through what He did, not what we do, we receive forgiveness of sins and are adopted into the family of God.

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the second coming of Christ - physically and visibly - to judge the living and the dead, to receive His Church, and to fulfill God's plan for human history.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His immaculate conception, in His sinless life, in His vicarious and atoning death through the shedding of His blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension into heaven to the right hand of the Father, and in His coming again in power and glory.

Filling with the Holy Spirit

We believe in the active ministry of the Holy Spirit, who fills the Christian, enabling him to lead a godly life.

Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to life and the lost to damnation.
